Chris has many years experience sewing clothing, formal wear, and home decorating items. She joined the quilting world after seeing her first Amish-style quilt. Starting with hand quilting, she then began quilting on a small frame with her domestic machine and moved up to longarm quilting with the purchase of a Handi Quilter machine. She now quilts on an Infinity with Pro-Stitcher®. She quilts free motion, with rulers, pantographs, stencils, or anything she can figure out to use to get designs on a quilt. She enjoys antique quilts and what is so close to her heart, memory quilts. After moving to Florida I discovered that I love teaching in quilt shops and even more so, the virtual world (pre covid). I totally enjoy traveling to quilt shops and getting to meet new friends and sharing my love for quilts, sewing and embroidery. I love that I can offer such a variety to this crafting world. I love mixing embroidery with my quilts! I have recently discovered a new passion and that is creating quilt designs for the new quilter. There are so many wonderful patterns out there that are just stunning, but for the new quilter they are very intimidating. I have found the joy of breaking down patterns in the easiest possible way and teaching how to make those patterns in a stress free way. Thus, bringing back the joy of making quilts. Follow me as I show you that you too can create beautiful quilts start to finish. I am your one stop quilting educator! Download Chris Davidson bio (PDF)
